Anna Maria Tatò was 57 when she directed Marcello Mastroianni: I Remember.

The Film

The 198-minute running time scared me. But this beautiful, loving documentary held my attention for its entire length. Mastroianni is fleshed out as a real human being, not the prototype “Latin Lover,” which annoyed him for so many years.
